This 1:10,000 scale model visualises the geological altitudes and the natural cover of Frankfurt and its surrounding area. It was constructed together with Werner Steiner Model Making. It is exhibited at the StadtWaldHaus Frankfurt.
To illustrate the geological profile even better, the altitudes are doubled, hence displayed in a scale of 1:5,000.
The model is mounted on a base plate of 1.9 x 1.6 meters.
Several representative high-rise buildings are placed as 3D objects.
"Fixing pin" trees form the forest areas of the GruenGuertel around Frankfurt.
